Benefits of Exercising Daily

According to an ancient Roman saying “in a sound body rests a sound mind “ I feel that is very true after each exercise session I feel energized, serene, balanced and happy and also the challenges I’m facing everyday seem smaller, worries I come across become trivial and more importantly I feel that I’m fully in the present moment. Moreover, one has to understand when you do daily exercises your physical body changes for the better, and also the daily exercises would help prevent heart attacks, high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer.

If we exercise for at least 40 minutes a day for at least 5 days every week, we will not only get the obvious benefits like good physical appearance, but it will also slowdown our overall ageing and improve the quality of our prolonged lifespan. Scientific evidence has shown that daily physical exercise can add years to our lives, roughly adding three hours per one hour of exercise done and over the course of a week, will burn 600 to 1,200 calories as well.

While it is recommended that you have a good exercise routine going at a time convenient for you each day, you must also choose a set of activities that you enjoy & can keep sustained over a long period of time. These can range from brisk walking at the rate of 3 to 4 miles an hour, cycling, swimming, lifting weights, anything similar or a combination of these. At the end of the day, it’s very important that each of us remember that if we do not make time for physical activities now, then eventually we will make time for illness.
