A true Renaissance of majestic sceneries and fauna & flora account for a significant part of my travel diary!

Unlike any other destination, the Norwood Bungalow offers a rare alchemy of climate, serenity, sceneries, and cuisine that coalesce an experience that exceeds the ordinary.

Lush tea gardens envelop the bungalow, and the sun showers a warm, golden glow on the patrolling lawns and majestic trees, ensuring more bright days ahead, and creating the perfect atmosphere for an idyllic getaway.

I felt very privileged and honored to be able to take part in the maiden trip organized by the Tea Trails Boutique Villas to Hortan Plains for the sighting of the majestic animals, Leopards.

We left the bungalow around 4.30 am and reached Horton Plains around 6.45 am. Keith, the Chief Ranger, escorted us to the Horton Plains National Park, where we experienced the abundant biodiversity and numerous indigenous species of the area. The Horton Plains comprise a montane grassland and cloud forest on Sri Lanka’s Central highlands’ southern plateau, with several tourist attractions that include Baker’s Falls and World’s End. A consummate professional, Keith skillfully guided us on our trip while sharing his wealth of knowledge and experiences.

Though we were not fortunate enough to catch a glimpse of a Leopard, we thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent views that dear Mother Nature had in store for us, featuring an intriguing range of flora and fauna, making this trip unforgettable.
